The City of Winfield has always placed a high priority on providing excellent facilities in its park and also maintaining a wide range of programs for the youth and citizens of the city. The Park and Recreation Board offers oversight to the city's ever-expanding park facilities and it provides organized recreation programs such as baseball, softball, soccer, flag football, basketball, and ballet. The local park has served the community since the 1960's.

A nature trail and walking track are used regularly by local residents as well as the community center where parties, reunions, and numerous senior adult events are coordinated.

The park employs a full-time staff and operates the local Community Center, which is used for a wide variety of functions. For more details about the Park and Recreation Department and their events and facilities,  visit http://server.winfieldparkrec.org/.
