Chris H. Carothers is the 2017 Mule Day Honoree. He is the President and Chief Operations Officer at The Citizens Bank of Winfield. Chris has served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce since 2015.
Chris moved back to Winfield in 1998 after 5 years of working with AmSouth Bank in Birmingham. During his service with the Winfield Chamber, he has helped with flea market, parade line up, placement of porta-a johns, marking booth spaces, sign placement, and lining up volunteers to work Mule day. 2017 is his 19th year of assisting with Mule Day activities.
Chris is from Winfield and is a 1987 graduate of Winfield High School. He is married to Brandi Carothers and has 4 children; Nicholas, Elizabeth, Allie and Caroline.
Chris is also Chairman of Winfield Park and Recreation board, member of Alabama Bankers board, member of Winfield Board of Education and Chairman of finance committee at Winfield First Baptist Church.

Winfield Mule Day Festival
Come join us for a premier Civil War Re-enactment and Living History at the Ivan K. Hill Park during the Mule Day Festival Weekend. This event will include several hands-on living history presentations, authentic encampments, demonstrations from artillery, cavalry, and infantry. Battles will be on Saturday and Sunday, a parade march in the Mule Day Parade anda Victorian Period Ball on Saturday night.
